Summary
The Barnabys entertain Joyce's family for Christmas, and he is almost anxious for Sgt Scott to call him out as a diversion. Meanwhile, at the run-down historic home of the Villiers, the family gather for their Christmas, some 9 years after the suicide of one of their members, Ferdy Villiers. The atmosphere becomes more and more tense, as the family tries to keep its dark secrets hidden. When elderly aunt Lydia Villiers dies after a fall, the apparent accident is discovered to have been murder, and Barnaby & Scott are called in to investigate. Despite their warnings to the other family members to be on their guard, another soon dies in an apparent accident
